On the 25th January, me and my group managed to construct the first piece of our music video including the first verse and chorus. Putting everything into consideration I believe our teamwork and one person in group group's particular efforts outside of the lesson definitely sped up our production time. With our experiences with editing in our AS coursework preliminary task, this gave us a lot of knowledge of tools such as cutting, speeding up and slowing down certain shots.
As you can see from our 1st rough draft of Tokyo Police Club- Favourite Colour, we have closely followed ideas from videos similar to OK Go and Vampire Weekend. For example the speed of the morph characters running around at 0:21 is a technique we followed and took into our own creative perspective from the video A-Punk. I believe the speed and time we took to edit each shot to fit perfectly will definitely pay off in our final piece and the constant flow and timing of each chronological shot is very entropic, for example the speed at 0:21 and then the stop/start motion in the next.

1st Filming day:
We held our first music video filming day on sunday 16th January, and this was held in Suckley, Worcestershire. Unfortunately I had to work all day, so the other members in my group Andy and Jake, started to film the first verse and chorus of our video. From what I've heard, the location was quite hard to find and difficult to film, such as the forest which had huge slopes. The weather wasn't perfect for us either, although certain effects such as rain water on the camera lens made our video seem entropic and colourful- due to the bright morph suit colours spreading/Smudging out across the video.
Overall I believe our group achieved quite a lot in a short space of time. As we started filming at approximately 3pm, we only had a couple of hours before lighting became an issue. Although we managed to get a range of shots, from a variety of different angles, I possess that if we started our filming sessions earlier in the day, we would have easily achieved a much more narrowed down and back up shots, which overall may of made our first verse and chorus even better.

Digipak Design & Advert Feedback:
After I finally managed to complete my Digipak Design and Advert for my new and upcoming music single and video, I decided to publish my ideas on a social networking site (Facebook) and also asked other people face to face, how they felt my ideas came across to them, and what could be improved. Overall I believe I managed to get a whole range of helpful and quality feeback, which I believe will definately help me in the final production of my video. I also gathered a varied amount of negative yet improving feedback, which I also believe will definately help me in the final production of my peice. One of the ways why I feel I had a mixed outcome of opinion when I asked for the opinion of a whole range of audiences could suggest the 'niche', small proportional and individual target audience of music genre, and thus only a handful of people viweing my digipak design would apreiciate and understand the strange yet entropic design of the pictures. For example the dress code of the characters etc.
Below are some of the Questions i uploaded onto facebook as well as my digipak and advert design and were greatly completed by a wide amount of audiences (from all age groups):
Digipak Questions:
1. What do you like about my Digipak Design?
2. Are there any particular aspects of the design which you feel need impovement?
3. After a first glance at the front cover, what genre of music immediately comes to mind?
4. Do you feel this is a mainstream or Niche orintated style of music?
Dan Brown: 1. I like the whole 'pencil' drawing design as it gives a sence of individuality and challenges the typical conventions of the indie music scene.
