After I finally managed to complete my Digipak Design and Advert for my new and upcoming music single and video, I decided to publish my ideas on a social networking site (Facebook) and also asked other people face to face, how they felt my ideas came across to them, and what could be improved. Overall I believe I managed to get a whole range of helpful and quality feeback, which I believe will definately help me in the final production of my video. I also gathered a varied amount of negative yet improving feedback, which I also believe will definately help me in the final production of my peice. One of the ways why I feel I had a mixed outcome of opinion when I asked for the opinion of a whole range of audiences could suggest the 'niche', small proportional and individual target audience of music genre, and thus only a handful of people viweing my digipak design would apreiciate and understand the strange yet entropic design of the pictures. For example the dress code of the characters etc.
Below are some of the Questions i uploaded onto facebook as well as my digipak and advert design and were greatly completed by a wide amount of audiences (from all age groups):
Digipak Questions:
1. What do you like about my Digipak Design?
2. Are there any particular aspects of the design which you feel need impovement?
3. After a first glance at the front cover, what genre of music immediately comes to mind?
4. Do you feel this is a mainstream or Niche orintated style of music?
Dan Brown: 1. I like the whole 'pencil' drawing design as it gives a sence of individuality and challenges the typical conventions of the indie music scene.
